Vanda Passos

Feng Shui is based on the observation of Nature and uses this knowledge to harmonize the human being with the Cosmos. At this time of the year Energy is contracting inwards, the humidity increases and there is an urgent need to clean the house, our refuge, in order to keep our habitats healthy, keeping us healthy.

As we are “an animal” apart from the rest of nature, we need to adapt what we build to what is natural in the Universe, to enjoy health and well-being. But Feng Shui goes further, providing good luck in prosperity, relationships with others, the much desired fluidity in life.

To enjoy the benefits of Feng Shui, the best thing to do is to make an analysis of Flying Stars to the spaces where we spend more time, such as the house where we live and the workplace. This consultation identifies the points to be cured and harmonized. Without the analysis, there are general indications that apply first hand to any space. Starting from the beginning: the outer surroundings! 70% of the chi that affects us when we are between walls comes from outside. What we see from our space should be healthy, clean, pleasant, harmonious.

A fast-moving road to our door brings chi too fast inside, and can cause serious damage in any area of life, depending on the stars it has in space. The best is to create a strong visual barrier, preferably natural, like a fence and a path to the entrance door that is sinuous but fluid, unobstructed and clean, to slow down the chi, flanked by flowers and decorative pieces that are pleasing to you, receiving those who arrive at your home with beauty, providing good vibes. Sculpture of dragon or fierce feline are protective symbols used when entering buildings in China. They should be placed facing the way, with their backs to the entrance door. A Ba Gua is also used over the entrance door to ward off negative energies and draw positive ones inward. It has an octagonal shape, with a round mirror in the center and the eight trigrams around it, with the arrangement of the Posterior Celestial Sequence. A round, well-polished metal door handle has the same effect. Be careful with the placement of water sources outside: they cannot be placed to the West, Northeast and Northwest of your home. They are powerful activators of flying stars and must be placed with knowledge of what is being activated. To find out, you need to do a Flying Stars analysis, until then it is not recommended.

Decaying buildings bring that ruin into your life, undermining prosperity, but they can also affect health and relationships. Once again create a barrier so that you can no longer see that element from the inside. Hospitals, cemeteries and other places where there is suffering or deterioration should be avoided as a neighborhood, or else block their viewing as much as possible, with solutions that inspire life. If using curtains, prefer those made of natural fibers.

The shape of the terrain and the interior divisions must be regular, square, rectangular or round. The square represents the Yin energy of Earth and the circle represents the Yang energy of Heaven, the two forces that act on us and that constitute the Universe. They are quite auspicious forms and it is from their junction that Ba Gua is born in an octagonal shape. Chinese coins also have a round shape with a square in the middle, symbolizing the power of the Universe and are also used as a talisman. These are the forms that allow chi to circulate freely and renew itself. Sharp angles and other irregularly shaped spaces do not allow chi to flow in a healthy way, stagnating it. What stagnates is spoiled! They often become places for garbage accumulation, both outside and inside spaces, and since they are not functional, they also serve to place objects to be stored, increasing the stagnant energy. Clean these corners and place plants or something that generates movement, like a windmill or a Chinese lucky cat. The plant I recommend most often is the Mother in Law's Toungue. It is very resistant, needs little maintenance, water and light, it is a protective amulet in various cultures, it boosts growth through its representation of the Tree Element (theory of the Five Elements), cleans the air and produces oxygen at night, unlike the most plants. Search and you will find more plants suitable for each space and for you.

Speaking of objects to be tidied up, one of the big problems today is the excess of material goods. Something is kept because it was a gift, although we do not like it, it is kept because it may come in handy one day, although it has not been used for years, it is kept despite not working or being broken and when there is time, it will be fixed. When you realize it, you have shelves, cupboards and full corners. What you are saving is stagnant energy that you carry with you, filling not leaving space for the new to enter! Remember that the house is a reflection of those who inhabit it and what is in it shows what is happening to you, at the same time that it affects you directly. Free yourself from what you don't use and what you don't like, that every time you look at it makes you uncomfortable, you will see that it gains lightness, energy and new opportunities will appear in your life.

The renovation of chi should be done daily by opening windows so that new air and sunlight can enter. Just a few minutes, ideally in the morning. Another way to clean bad chi is by vibrating the sound. Hang wind chimes where the wind touches them, play music whenever you can, play an instrument and your luck will change. Vibration is used to heal negative stars that indicate bad energy in a given space or direction. It is also an essential tool in energy cleansing rituals.

Whether the chi that circulates is good or bad, do not rest in front of doors, let alone on the path between doors and windows. We must not be hit by chi, we must be bathed. Take this into account when locating beds and sofas. Also avoid placing yourself in the direction of sharp edges or edges. They are called "poisoned arrows" sending bad chi to you. On your bed or sofa, observe if you have beams, pillars, furniture or other elements that point a sharp edge or sharp corner towards you. In this case, change the furniture or place a barrier to this element, such as a screen, plant, sculpture, floor lamp, whichever best suits the situation.

We spend an average of 1/3 of the day in bed, so it's good to take care of its Feng Shui. To work on good luck, health and confidence, you must place the bed in an area of the room where the energy is slow, that is, out of the way between the door and windows. Having a solid headboard against a wall is mandatory to feel safe and confident. This is called the Turtle, having an elevation behind us, supporting and protecting. Do not touch the headboard under a window or on the partition wall with the bathroom, these are points where there is movement of chi and sha in the bathroom pipes circulate sha (harmful energy). To regenerate vital energy, chi enters the body through the crown chakra, and it is beneficial to accumulate between the top of the head and the head of the bed. During sleep, an energy field circulates around the body and its path must be unimpeded. For this, the bed must have feet, without storage underneath. If you have storage, like a sommier, use it to store bedding and open it regularly. Keep the bed away from the side of the walls, so that both sides of the brain are regenerated and develop equally.

Build step by step in your home the beauty and order of the Universe, and you will find the fluidity that you desire in your life!
